Re: Hotbird, Astra and Eutelsat on same dish

Just buying one "slim" LNB should be enough.
To be set in the middle, pointing to 16°, and well stuck to the others two.

Thats all well said and done but it also depends on the type of hlder it goes into as this may not allow any adjustment

Re: Hotbird, Astra and Eutelsat on same dish

My friends, the problem is not only the size of the lnbs, but a correct fixed installation.
I use normal quadro-lnbs and it was very short for installation between 19,2° and 23°.
OK, it depends on the holder for the lnbs.

            No, I desagree with that.
Only one slim lnb is not enough for this setup.
Maybe if you had a dish of 120cm it would be ok,
but on a dish of 75cm ... No, can't be.

You need 3 slim lnbs like inverto, or 3 slim lnb of Alps.
Inverto lnb are very thin, so you can adjust them better.

No doubt 3 slim LNBs would be better, but our friend already owns two 40mm LNBs so I think he can try a test with a single 23mm LNB and maybe save some money if it's enough.
It's a trial and error process here .. nobody has the crystal ball ...

I recommend this universal multifeed holder with 3 Brackets.
It's very cheap , about 4-5 euro, very lightly and very stable.

I would suggest two additional lnbs.
I think the middle one gonna get the strongest signal.
                    Disec 3 will do.

A cheap alternative for 2 lnbs.
But it won't work for 19,2° and 23° because to far distance for the normal lnbs.
Or you use it for 2 lnbs and the third with something selfmade.

You have to use 2 of these universal multifeed holder.
They can combine and do what you want unles the distance isn't too far to make the lnbs push down from the weight.
Astra 19.2E is the center and one holder is on the left and the other holder on the right.
The distance of 19.2E and 23E isn't so far, is exactly side by side for 2 normal lnbs of 40 or 50mm.

                                Hi!
This is how I solved this problem.

These additional LNBs may be set to get best signal strenght altough 75cm dish may be to small.
