LNB on a Motorized Dish

Can a LNB on Motorized Dish of size of 3 m performs same on all satellite. i.e; we adjust LNB on Hotbird and Dish move toward Badr at 26 E, then what will be its result, optimal or need tweaking for that position too ? If yes then there is also auto LNB adjustment as Dish move one sat to other

"Polar mount" was just meant to accomplish that.
If your ground **** if perfectly perpendicular to ground and your setup is perfect too (latitude adjustment, declination adjustment, true north/south) you will have a perfect arc tracking, for all satellites.

In theory it should be the same but if it were me I would do some tests on weakest transponders on both sats, peak it for hotbird then move to badr and vice versa,if only small difference then your set-up is obviously good.

From my experience, the LNB can be adjusted to get a better signal on different satellites in the arc. Obviously it isn't convenient to have to do this every time you move the dish. What I do is sweep the entire arc for the weakest satellite and adjust the LNB for the strongest possible signal on that satellite. Every other satellite in the arc you are capable of getting, then has a strong enough signal to get a lock.

Modern LNB are much better than the older system of lnb on feed horn and polarizer had both in the past and now have a stronger signal and better quality on my 2.4m channel master than the older way

I agree with you, we mostly make perfect setting for hotbird and lose some weakest channels on other sats in arc, while other have these channels on fixed dish

A good quality LNB helps always!

I would second an Inverto Black Ultra for good signal improvements on marginal satellites.

Having said that, I have also seen comparable gains with a Smart Titanium LNB too.

I don't think that you will need to set the lnb again for other sats once you moved the dish. If the LNB is set perfectly then it will work on all sats given that you are on the correct arc.

It's best to adjust LNB on every satellite but it is imposible for motorised dish.
"No adjusting" will affect only critical transponders but in practice - this is not that important.

You're right, it isn't that important really. Peak your signal on your weakest satellite. Assuming your arc is correct the rest of your stronger satellites should lock without any trouble.

At the end of the day, if you're really struggling to pull in marginal satellites, you're probably going to lose them on bad weather days regardless of LNB type/skew/focus etc.

When I fine adjust on my weak transponder of Hot bird , it work perfectly on all sats , But we are discussing about weak transponders on other sats which show some problem to lock, because my Dish covers from 3 E to 128 E, there is so many satellites in this range

I very much doubt that you'll be able to get every transponder on every satellite in the arc. It's all about prioritising which satellites you really want to get a lock on. I have a satellite I like to focus on, but it is marginal for where I'm located. If I peak my signal on this satellite I lose another more marginal satellite 25 degrees further along the arc. No matter what I did I couldn't get both.

In the end, I prioritised one over the other. I can pull in this favoured satellite most of the time, even during bad weather. The other one just has to be unobtainable, but it is so weak that the slightest bit of bad weather would probably have knocked it's signal out anyway.

One other thing, note that some transponders cannot be picked up dependent on location even though you are picking up other transponders on that same satellite! It happens to me on turksat 42east and Badr as well as Nilesat 7w...
