no sound on hd channels vu duo

hey guys

was watching telly earlier and for some reason none of the hd channels whether they are free or encrypted have sound the picture is fine just no sound the sd channels seem unaffected. can't understand why. tried rebooting the box many times and also turning on and off the box but still the same.

running vix 3.0 ferrai on vu duo. been running on this firmware with out a hitch for a few months now.

anyone have any ideas what could be the problem

Press the audio button on the remote. In the on screen menu make sure Digital down mix is set to ON. This is for vix image, the menu may differ for other images, but the principle is the same.

I think that the audio output is switched to digital opical output.

Go in to menu, setup, system, audio video and check the settings, if your tv doesn't support dolby digital. put downmix on and prefer dolby digital off, this will then apply to all channels.

Hi; I think your TV does not support the high difinition image; otherwise use picture Black Hole latest version and your problem will be solved automatically ...

Go to menu > setup > auto language and select yes on prefer ac3
Press green button and done

yes similar problem with my 3d movies, i have to use a program and make the sound AC3 on the movies or the tv will only give me image and no sound.

I think we need more information, for example, how are you connecting for the audio? Via HDMI, Scart or optical and is it direct to tv or amplifier.
Without this information you will be given different solutions that may not work. nml

thanks that fixed the problem. don.t know how i managed to turn it off.

i wrote this message saying the above fixed the problem about 10mins after it was written but it must of been deleted.
