Yes, there are Android HD sat receivers
and even linux and Android hybrid dual booting system.
The most of them are made in China...
The price is good but I don't know about the abilities they have.
Try a ****** search to find them.

Its better to have a STB with wide range of interface , but main object cencern with satellite Receiver is to watch the transmission from satellite and better box is in my opinion which perform nicely on weak signals

hdtv receiver SkyWay Pandora( the full analogue of the openbox) with the Android operating system.
plays most video formats including MKV, support for video service *******, the Web Browser to browse web pages, into receiver you can install any application programs and games and so on.

            Absolute agree with that!

My Box can play videos, show pictures, Internetradio...
But I don't really use this functions with the box. For this I have other and much better Equipment (with better hardware for that).
The main object for a sat box is a good quality in sat receiving, the other "goodies" are nice gimmicks, but not really more.
            (My personal opinion)...
If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans!

As I said above, these receivers are made in China,
so, I think that the quality should be very bad.
All Chinese made Gadgets aren't reliable
and that's way the price they have are very low.

I agree with @Satphoenix that is better to have
a receiver to make the hard work ,only,
and a different device for entertainment (video, photos, mp3...).
In this way, you may have better quality and less problems.

Hi try Ali express, Ali baba is more wholesale, and they want big orders, and do not give you a price, also dh gate are good, but if you just ****** cheap Chinese products it will give you list of sites.
Most are reliable just check feed back and how long they have been trading and try to select the ones with free postage, but when you order expect it to be 2 to 3 weeks before you get your stuff.
Also if they post by Dhl or any of the big firms forget it they make money from you collecting import duty and vat then charging a fee for their selves for doing this, some where around £10 plus vat make sure they use china post.and good luck
