    Hi don't know if this has been asked before could not find a mention.
    Looking for a linux satbox that will run XMBC with a decent processor.

      The forthcoming prismcube will be the first satbox running xbmc, have a look at this thread.

      Vu + solo2 doesn't run full xbmc. It has plugins and skins which replicate xbmc, but doesn't run xbmc.

        Hi thanks for the replies.
        Have seen the bumf for prism cube already, it started in 2011 and they had preview days in June 2012 but no one yet seems to be selling the box.
        Could it be because they cannot get a arm chip to work correctly in a satbox.
        When you look at the specs of a satbox, the processors are abysmal, calculators have better processors.

          The official specs only got put up on their website a few weeks ago, so I would assume this means they are preparing for release, possibly around anga cable in june?
          As for processor speeds, I'd say 1300 mhz for a sat box is more than enough.
          Remember, they are primarily sat receivers, anything else is a bonus.
