    RDS Text on Frontal LCD

Hi, since some weeks now, i see that on several German and Swiss radios, i can see in the frontal display of my ET9000 the name of Songs, Name of Programs and other infos such as in RDS Text.

I Plan to buy another Linux Terminal, and i would like to know what is the name of the Fonction who can make display these informations in the Frontal display ?

    Thank's.

you will only get artist and program information if the broadcaster sends it with the transmitted signal, this information, and usually all digital radio broadcasters send this info along with the audio signal.

Not all radio broadcasters, most of the satelite radios do not send any of these informations, at least, if so, they are not shown on frontal display as swiss and some german radio do.

For FM we can compare it to Dinamic PS , or Radio Text. But talking about satelite, i still don't know what is the name of this process or if all Linux terminals who have a front display multi character do it. (?)

Anywone can test it on Swiss Radios such as Swiss Pop, or German Radio such as Radio Top40, Das Ding or other public radios. Just wait till 15 seconds and it should work.

I found it pretty nice to see these infos on the frontal screen of the receiver.
