Usually with card sharing it is the stability of the connection that is important
not the speed, ethernet cable provides good stable connection, wifi sometimes
may get interference from other signals meaning it drops the connection for a
few seconds may cause excessive freeze on picture.
The main advantage of wifi is that the receiver can be located anywhere without
worrying about long runs of cable but now days with homeplugs even this is not
an issue unless the expense become a factor.
