if you need to test other file formats maybe i can help you and test it for you so you'll surely not have a bad awakening and youre able to do what you want with your box... avi and mkv (incl dts) running without any problems on goldenmedia990reloaded spark

A big thank you! I just want to be sure that i'll don't be sad changing my dm800. What i mean is, i want a receiver working as well as the dm800 about cccam, mgcamd, epg... And which can work for the divx, xvid, mkv i have in stock in my nas... It seems that the golden media is very good for the videos but i'm not sure it will work well with sat tv and plugin mgcamd??

i understand what you mean so if i can i will help you and answer your questions ...

cccam2.14 is running good... mgcamd should too, plugins are available but i think oscam is best for this box running spark.
epg is also fine i think... i have a Humax iCord HD 500GB and epg is not that good than the golden media (german channels... dunno about others)
the gm took every divx, xvid, mkv yet without any problems..
negative maybe the long start from standby or some minor issues in newer firmwares with teletext and hbbtv

oh and what you found is the normal lx, be sure to take a "reloaded" (new remote and some other changes, costs about 120€ in germany, the lx 105€)

You have installed samba on the NAS? because as soon as you install it and you can connect to stream from the NAS without any kind of problems

As i know dm800 compatible with many formats but if you dont exceute that format you can transfer to pc and see via pc because pc player commonly performance better than receivers pc.

i am sure that the DM800 can play mkv, why dont you convert your movies in to the mkv format or use vlc player.

where is available vlc player? does it convert avi to mpeg?

with simple search you can find and download vlcplayer
yes you can convert kinds of diffrent of formats

just download any video convertor free version by which u can convert any format to any which one is compitible with u r rciever and enjoy

Yeah, normally it should play most of the files, which image do you use? I have and DM800 HD too and for me it has worked for the files i've used. Well but there surely should be an player-plugin who supports that, maybe you should try searching ******.

When i need to convert a File, i use winavi , there is also winavi mp4 , it's fast and work well. In One version i had , you can also put subtitles directly in the avi file if your receiver don't read SRT files. SRT= Subtitles files ( just for who don't know )
