Re: Diseqc switch problem
In this this case it's the receiver that send a wrong switching signal. -
Re: Diseqc switch problem
Diseqc switches *.0 and *.1 only are only switching LNBF inputs to receiver. *.3 is rotating the dish. So if your diseqc is version *.3, you may try to find some bad wires or connectors. If your diseqc only switches inputs - you have to search inside diseqc switch itself. If you live in a place like Cherapunji (very wet) you may try to buy more expensive water resistant diseqc switch. Or place it in a water resistant place.
Me myself live in a kind a cold place and cheap diseqc switches I use don't like frost so I'm forced to change them sometimes.Comment

Re: Diseqc switch problem
For start if its a few days old you can get another for free or a refund no matter what cost the problem. after find someone with a power tester (dont know the actual name) and see what power hits your Diseqc switch. the last on i open as well as all the others i saw on internet (im going to use some for my self) looks like the do a very simple job and it doesnt look like something that breaks so easy it just connect 2 wires. if the power tester is not showing the problem then the weather contentions (rain-cold-heat) is the only thing that i can think. If my post was useful, please, use "Thanks" buttonComment

Re: Diseqc switch problem
If your Motor is drawing a lot of current it could be the cause of your problem.
I recently had a motor burn out and it took out the diseqc switch also, try to check if the motor is running smoothly and also check all connections for any stray braid that could cause a short.

Re: Diseqc switch problem
hi tech1010.
Time I think, time to fit motor, if your switch only 2 sats you missing a whole lotta viewing, I myself had 7 sats once via 2 diSEqC switches but stuck motor on dish.
Much better, my opinionDo not send me iptv/cline requests,
technical or iptv/cline server questions in PM!
I will not answer!Comment

Re: Diseqc switch problem
I had a similar problem 4 years ago with a very cheap switch. I bought a better one (a bit more expensive) and the problem has gone. It still works good untill now.If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans!Comment

Re: Diseqc switch problem
I think about environmental factors, such as temperature, humidity (though you said you have plastic enclosure, but it couldn't be enough) and static electricity.
Maybe also a grounding problem.
Maybe also a problem in your lnb, that is drawing too much current.
But I would stop searching causes related to receivers (images, agc, tuner etc.).
The first things I would do:
- change lnb
- assure a good ground (earth) connection to dish and receivers.Comment

Re: Diseqc switch problem
along the line there are amplifiers?
tried to change the lnb?
this is done, for me the possible causes are:
1) low quality materials, brand changes
2) low temperatures.VU+ solo2 - AzBox Elite -Giga Blue 800 se plus - Edision argus mini ip 2in1-Dreambox 7000-7020- Golden media 9080-Skybox F3 - Unixbox 500 - Parabola motorizzata da 120 - parabola 80 13e- parabola 80 19eComment
