any body tell me about 8 point discq. switch
this discq. not work in my el 3030 cr plus
what is the method of this discq. on this receiver

8 port diseqc use diseqc v.1.1 protocol.
Most of available decoder support only diseqc v.10 that's limit to 4 satellite only.
Check witch protocol version is supported by your decoder.

Ok, so setup your device to use DiSEqC 1.1 for your satellite.

The functioning of the diseqc-switch depends on the quality of the switch. Two years ago I tested three 8/1 switches which didn't really work (diseqc 1.1). The 4/1 switch worked perfect. I don't know if the quality is much better now?
Abrarshah, what's your result with a 2/1 or 4/1 switch?

I think you need to use DiSEqC 1.0 normal and DiSEqC 1.1 in Casecade mode. Activate both!
