Temperature influence?

Does the low temperature influence the signal strengh? I don't mean clouds, snow, rain etc., only the low temperature?

Low temperatures should give better signal, I mean better quality (not strength), because lower temperature means lower noise in signal amplification in LNBs.

Of course I am talking about extremes ... only when it's summer and very hot, with clear sky, I have some channels showing BER > 0.

It's possible only when temperature is very high or very low because it's an out-of-range temperature or if you have ice on your dish or onto lnb.
I don't find temperature range into datasheet of my lnbs, but I think they are made to be compliant with industrial standard. Into industrial environment the accepted range is -25°C to +85°C.
A good lnb work without problem into range -25/-30°C to +50°C.

Signal strength is indeed dependent on temperature, colder
temperatures will lend to higher signal strengths the only way
temperature might have an effect is if you get a a good layer
of frost on your dish and LNB.

There was a story about a German man living in Brasil I think it was who was able to receive signals from Germany, he was using a super-cooled LNB on an admittedly very big dish to do this, so yes temperature does play a part, but only at extremes I think and not for normal use.
