Re: Ecm in Sky UK
sorry to piss on everyones chips, including the experienced members but
lets just say i have access to a few servers.
all pc servers
all with cards clocked
all run pure oscam
various , uptodate new builds
all run smargos
most on fiber broadband
ecms average normally around 80ms to 100 ms
sky hd channels currently averaging 300+ ms some going up to 500 and 600 ms
most connections via newcamd (nline) mixed.
alot of these theoretcial servers having problems, but some arent..............the plot thickensComment

Re: Ecm in Sky UK
Have been checking ecm times from two servers one C:line and one N:line since this post started,if anything ecm times are better here from both pay servers ,could be early days and knowing them they will find a way to turn the heat up.Comment

I suggest you change to Omnikey's a lot better for this type of cardComment

Re: Ecm in Sky UK
Ecm time is the final result of a chain where many factors are involved.
We can try to improve many aspects (overclock card, network/sharing protocols, balance server load etc.) but providers can send more complex ecms that takes longer to elaborate, and here there's nothing we can do ...Comment

Re: Ecm in Sky UK
why would i change to an older slower card reader.
avg ecm times for omnikey = 140
avg ecm times for smargo = 80
serious question, no sarcasm, give me more than just an opinion, give me something to bck it up, i have a bag of omnikeys here, but this affects all systems, with different boxes / readers configs etc etc
we need evidence not just useless opinions (dont take it the wrong way, im talking about the general hearsay on the net / forums)Comment

Re: Ecm in Sky UK
I know plenty of people with different setups Servers/Receivers etc... using all different types of cards but the one you mention and the apparent problems is mainly due to how can i put this Quantity on that particular Server.
I will also throw this into the mix i know a few guys with just standard Solo's/ Duo's etc no smargo and no omnikey and have not seen a rise over 200ms since all this started so i will quote the old saying " Quality over Quantity " seems to be the keyComment

Re: Ecm in Sky UK
But the problem is that in sky_uk they send the next cw very lately before the cw changes in the stream. If only 3 or 4 users share the same card (on hop1!), this could mean short glitches for one of them, if there are more users on one card, you defenitly have glitches.
Look in the web-interface of server three or four how many users may share one card, you have the answer to this problem, even if the other providers are unused. If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans!Comment

Re: Ecm in Sky UK
