Re: 3D content?
Try 3D content on a quality screen and then you can decide if you would like it or not.If you like my post, please don't hesitate to click on "Thanks"button. Thank youComment

Re: 3D content?
Yes that's true, but one must take into account picture settings that have to be set up the same on both tv's or more of tv sets.
Also which TV has better true motion feature with higher frame rates which changes experience of movie observation.
Samsung 3d smart tv by my opinion has best price:quality ratio, but it's up to others to decide of their fav's.
Myself personally like Philips since it was on the forefront of the LCD technology. Currently using PFL9603 ambilight and btw, that light feature is great for the eyes when person is viewing a program long time at the dark.
My view on some budget tv sets by order of appearance is next one:
1. Philips 9706H
2. Samsung D8000
3. LG 980SComment

Re: 3D content?
Can anyone honestly say that they get more pleasure/entertainment all things being equal out of watching a program in 3D over normal picture, and are not just being confused by all the fanfare and technology ?

Re: 3D content?
In a cinema, with a huge screen and all the rest. Yes, I quite like a movie in 3d.
In my front room, on my 42" screen, sitting about 12-15 foot away. No, I can't see the benefit myself.
I think the to benefit fully from the 3d experience, the screen has to fill your whole field of vision.Comment

Re: 3D content?
Yes, cinema experience is unique in every way over any room tv set.
Only real solution that would go any near cinema and maybe even over cinema exp. is virtual surround helmet which is now available for such experiences.
That would be good, to see yourself in some Lawnmover man situation to say at least.
Movie behind a helmet produced 3d and sorround...Comment

Re: 3D content?
Yes, or perhaps a projector. You can pick up decent 3d ones for about £ 500 now, though I'm not entirely convinced by them.
Still need a very dark room to view properly, and a home theatre sound system is a must for projectors.
But as far as the size of the picture........

Re: 3D content?
@jonny2by4: It says clearly in the instructions that if you feel headache and nausea then immidiately stop watching 3D content and contact your GP. Unfortunately 3D is not for you.
Yes 3D is amazing and Good for people who can keep up with it. Unfortunately again the same case that 3D is not for your friend and thier kids.
Yes I honestly say that I get lots of pleasure from a 3D TV. My first experience was watching Avatar on my 3D TV. The whole film was transformed and felt like I am watching a completely different film. It makes you thinks that If the film was not in 3D there were many things remaind unexplained without 3D. So yes a entertainment. Watching the closing ceremoney last night in 2D/3D was amazing when the whole stadium felt like a massive disco with lights everywhere.
Depends on the program. I certainly would not enjoy Emmerdale and Corri in 3D, LOL LOL
