Re: easy find satelite
There are some devices available called Sat Finders. Their prices vary from £5 to £200.
Some of them are just simple analogue ones but the other expensive ones are the digital one with a small screen so you dont need a television to find a satellite.
28.2e, 19.2e and 13.0e are the easiest ones to find.
If you tune your receiver to a strongest Transponder specially FTA, that makes it really easy to find the satellite. If you like my post, please don't hesitate to click on "Thanks"button. Thank you -

Re: easy find satelite
hi
correct, but also depends on your location and your reach of satellites, size of dish ...
But as microchick stated: even without a satfinder, you should be able to get a signal. Still, I prefer let a professional do it (so your sure about best possible reception at your end).
Anyway, good luck and keep us informed please.Comment

Re: easy find satelite
Together with dishpointer, use Adenine's Satfinder plugin for Dreambox (elsewhere on this forum) and Bob's your uncle. Works like a dream. Punn intended.DM500s on 68.5E, 10E Cband

Re: easy find satelite
There is a chepest Sat Finder available on ebay called sat finder for around £5ish. Its an analogue device, you connect between the lnb and receiver. It doesnt need any external power as it is powered by the receiver. As soon as you dish finds a satellite the the needle on the meter shows full and it produce a sound. easy to use but not very sensitive. If you like my post, please don't hesitate to click on "Thanks"button. Re: easy find satelite
Hello,
I use android app to fine tune after the initial setup I do with receiver and tv (on my balcony, not the roof )
The app helps you really to squeeze some signal strength. I easely got 2db more on a difficult situation (sirius 5)Comment

Re: easy find satelite
I usually search for on the internet satellite coordinates taken into account, for the area where I live. Then the fixed angle vertically and with the help of a compass move the dish left and right until the decoder can not see the signal. Of course to do this procedure takes two, acting on a satellite dish and a look at the decoder.Comment

Re: easy find satelite
cheapest sat finder if you have a Linux E2 receiver is the Enigma2 signal meter runs as an app on iphone and android and connects to your receiver via wi-fi and ip address, comes in handy if you want to tweak your dishComment
