I want to buy a satelite pci card for my pc but need one that gets all channels not just freeview. What are the differences between the DVB -? and what do the S T and other models mean.

Yes, think you should take DVB-S2. For more info about channels/packages you want or are interested in: see the common sites (such as eg king of sats or lyngsat).Comment

i use skystar hd pci. its outdated( replaced by skystar hd2) but can open hd channels and regular ones.( dvbs2 i think)
For software u can use dvbviewer( looks nice); progdvb (best for me); altdvb( dont really like it).Comment

It might be a bit late now but are you talking about Freeview or Free to View?
Freeview is the service we get in the UK with a terrestrial aerial.
Free 2 view is the service we get from Sky without subscribtion.

DvbViewer Pro is also a good software. It can handle almost every dvb cards and usb stick. You can also mix DVB-c DVB-t and DVB-s channels in your favorite list.
For me it's the most convinient TV soft and even way cheaper than ProgdvbComment
