But your origional ip details still stay with the ISP. They can give you detail of every milisecond about your ip. I'm not good with computer servers but sometime when you hide your ip you even can't access your isp and they cut your internet connection off for the time the ip is hidden. sorry if this sounds awkward.

Vpn doesn't hide your ip, it simply reroutes the traffic through a server in a different country.
so you access the server in, let's say hong kong. Then they route the traffic to you.
There are actually vpn plugins in the vix and blackhole images.
It may not be 100% fool proof, but makes it a lot harder to trace.

The experience I had was when I wanted to stream area restricted content..
The content was restricted to viewers in southeast asia, so I had to make them think I was in southeast asia.
To do this I found a vpn with a server in hong kong.
You download their software to your pc, and upon opening it are presented with a choice of servers, in different countries, to connect through.
Choose the server, click connect and voila. I was in hong kong.

I pressed the button again accourding to the forum rules. Never thought that anything line this would exist. I was thinking of programs like, "Hide ip" or something like that. I used it once and I was disconnected by my ISP. I hope there are some free VPN around?

Well, now you have luck check the programm "Hotspotshield" which is a free and paid vpn server but the free version is totaly ok the only negativ thing is it only gives you ip's from USA and is compatible with all browsers. Hope i could help Good luck

I think the ip's from USA would be more traceable like the ones from the UK. May be we would actually need ip's from a third world country like subcontinent or china.

ya, might be, but me personaly using this vpn for ******* videos which are locked like live streams from machinima or others. For more privacy im using "tor" with a an ip from India Argentina or Arabia ^^
Btw you can do what you want but being 100% anonymous is almost impossible, only being off-line is the safest way ;D the 2nd safer way after a normal proxy is using the "Deep Web" or "Dark Net" which is the Internet under the Internet ^^

Being offline is the safest way but thats not possible because you need to be online if you want to explore the world in a virtual way. I will search for Deep web and Dark net and will see what is it all about. I will put my feedback on here later.

i wouldnt worry if you are that worried dont do it as i am sure they would go after the pay servers first as its all about the money sly and so on want your money

i thing so too.
hide your ip is only an option. if you hide your ip it is important to make it on all computer on your network.

I use Tor it is a very good free program you can keep on changing your i.p while surfing it gets me to a certain site that is now banned in the u.k.
Also to consider Hotspot Shield which gives you a u.s i.p, the free version has lots of pop up ads but no problem with adblock.
But I do not know if using these would also hide where your sat box is connecting from.
