    Long shot! Foxsat hdr

As it says above this is a bit of a longshot.
But I have a Humax Foxsat hdr linux box designed for Freesat. Patched firmware has been released but only provides access from the computer to the files mainly for ftp etc, also you can now add non Freesat channels to the channel list.
The question is does anyone know if you can add cccam and get it working? I appreciate that it would probably have to be started by telnet.

I believe it is possible, but extra hardware is required.

    Diablo Cam WIFI

Which you insert into the CI+ slot on the Humax FoxSat

    _hxxp://www.diablocam.com/

Dislikes the Chinese Openbox Receivers, so much..

Yes I have heard that it is possible but I can't get confirmation, hence the software route if I can.

did you get lucky on this one or you haven't try it? i found cheap one and i like to buy it only if it can work with cccam.

Hi Kostis sorry for the delay in reply, I decided against the Diablo because I don't think from what I have read that it will work in a reasonable fashion.

However I am experimenting at the moment with manual install of Cccam and starting via telnet not got anywhere yet but if I do I will post again. The trouble is that the box is not an enthusiast box and does not have the support of people who know a lot more then me.
It is a Linux box so I think that it should be possible hopefully more people will try.

You might be better just buying another receiver i tried a humax 5400z for card share ,but to many problems along the road ,some middle of the road receivers are pretty cheap to buy these days ,but whatever you do dont buy skyF3 or Eaglebox unless its only for 28E.

Don't need a new receiver already got three that will do the trick but over the years as an enthusiast I try different things with boxes, just to learn and it is great when you succeed.
