C Band on 10E - Old tech, new adventure

I did a temporary install on this old dish yesterday. It is 15 years old 180 cm C Band and has been idle for most of the time. I cannot get setup instructions for ZCF-D21A Dual Po FNLB, but by generalizing , I have signal up to 75% on 10E. May be today I will get it working.

The reason for doing this? On 10E Ku south beam I get 2 channels. On 10E C Band I should get 160 channels.

Any C Band help will be appreciated.

If you mean the following frequencies 3914 R and 3930 R
for StarTimes TV on Eutelsat 10A at 10.0°E
Then you would get about 38 channels according to Lyngsat.

You need to use a teflon plate in the feedhorn to get the circular polarization.

To far South for 180 cm mesh dish. Max signal 76%. Will have to go bigger or solid.

Northern Cape Province. Wide open spaces. Semi dessert. 180cm Dish works well. We are still stuck on first satellite we found. To many channels.

Huuh, is it Capetown, and what satellite is that?? Watch not to catch some wild boar along the way or hayne maybe. I can just imagine adventure that you're experiencing down there in Africa.

Lol nowhere near cape town triad. Northern cape is south africas largest province. Bigger than germany but population of just over 1 million.
cape town is in the western cape about 600 miles away from the capital of northern cape. The diamond town of kimberley.
Just in case you want to know how I know this. I was born and raised in south africa. The seaside city of durban

I suppose that diamond town of Kimberley got it's name because of diamond mines that are exploited around the city there!
Damn man, I'd really like to taste some of that thrill ride there of yours...
Just to leave this 8 hour work place for a day or two...
Thought recently to spend some money for famous American route 666 cross US in leased car and some tent, but finances will prevent me from taking this adventure journey.

Went little bit off topic but very nice to taste some atmosphere of other user countries here on forum !!!

Most ppl don't realize, don't see the scope yet what revolution internet and technology have brought us! But they will, in time!!!

Sorry guys, been out of circulation for last couple of days. I am 300Km from Kimberley in Kalahari dessert. Game hunting area. Springbok, Gemsbok, Kudu.etc
Triad, you make it sound like heaven, but the roads are ill maintained and the infrastructure folding. Nearest town is 95Km.

Still it is great to be out here.
