Do you recive any signal from Astra 19.2E chanels?
To reset diseq 1.2 must push one button with needle on motor outside
Check cable and write back again

how old is your motor?, perhaps new one required, they quite cheap now.
if its possible try another receiver on it.

Ithink that your motor has broken mate unfortunatly, but on last thing to try.
            Disconnect both cables and then try a manual move I suppose it could ne a short on the cable;

hi mendi190, i can agree with nml, if as you say your motor 6/7 years old, youve had a good run with it, myself i would get new one an save time messing trying to repair.

Re: Diseq 1.2 Motor Problem !

I have read somewhere that if the motor needs resetting then unplug the receiver from the mains. Press and hold both (East and West) buttons on the motor together. Ask someone to plug the receiver back into the mains. The motor's lights will start blinking, after a few seconds you will get a steady green light. The reset process is completed. Haven't tried it myself.
PS this method is only for the motors with East and west buttons, no reset button.
Hope it will work. Let us know if it works.

Never Heard back from Mendi about his motor.
I have a suggestion for the software and firmware developers if they include an option in their firmware/software to reset the motor from the box. After this there wont be any need for going up on the roof or calling the sat man.

There already is an option in receivers it has been there for years its called GOTO 0 or GOTO Reference or even RESET TO 0. this will send your motor back to 0 on the motor scale and write satellite values in the motors memory back to default.

Holding east and West buttons and unplugging and plugging back in only works for Dark Motors the Technomate Motek clone Diseqc motors have a small reset hole on the motor itself where you put a pin in to reset the motor to default values.

I've just moved my motor and dish over the past week,
longest wait was for the pole mount, 3/4 days for cement to dry, only took 90minutes to realign motor, also much better signal/quality now,
reason for move was out of strong winds, as i had problems last winter, old mount can just be seen bottom of garden

that's correct, also had problems with diseq 1.2 and motorized motor.
With the "go to zero" option that digicon well explains I could solve problem.
I only had to reset the parameters of the different satellites as it's a full reset.
You can compare it with a back to factory settings on a receiver.
But better that than broken satmotor
So this reset function should be able to solve such/simular problem(s).

Thanks Digicon, I never realised that when you send the motor to the Reference or Go To 0, it resets the sat positions. My question was when the motor is giving an error message, like doesn't move at all, you can't send it to 0 or Reference til you do a hard reset. But I am still learning
