    I've done it!

Well my Clone vu+ Duo arrived yesterday.
    Hard drive installed easy enough.
Plugged it all in and bbc1 came on staright away. initialized the hd and recorded a fta channel with no problems. Timeshift works as well with no problems.
I just looked around the menu a bit, getting to know the receiver before trying anything to ambitious. Ccam 2.1 was installed as well as Tspanel so I didn't have to do much.
Then went on to Vucc and how to enter lines. Had a bit of a hassle finding my ip address but got there eventually by going into network test. Once it was completed I scrolled to the edit button and Voila, there it was.
Got a bit confused about how to enter cline, so stopped for the night and read up at work today.
Got home, installed dcc, got it all up and running and stuck a cline in.
Pressed the blue button and selected cccam and there it was!
Couldn't believe it. A bit glitchy, but at least I now know how to enter lines and watch them.
    So relieved.
Thanks to all that have helped me so far, you're all diamonds.

Glad you got sorted Bokie just to let you know that Vucc works exactly the same as dcc but its a little newer and aimed at newbies.

I would also suggest you get hold of Notepad++ for opening and reading/changing your CCcam.cfg file its a lot easier and spaces out the text correctly for you.

    Regards

      Re: I've done it!

When I opened the CCcam.cfg file in vucc I got a bit of a fright because it didn't look the same as the screenshots of dcc, so I thought I'd give dcc a try.
Think I will use vucc in future though as it is aimed at vu+ users.
Now just to get everything sorted and easy to find.
Is there a good media centre like xbmc for the vu?

I quite like the Project Valerie plugin:
