I am using Darkstar2 on clone now for 2 months. No problems whatsoever. Faster and friendlier than other images i have tried. Very nice plug-ins.

You would have to go onto the customs site Usualy upto £35 is free after that import duty and your one and only favorite VAT,a lot come in anyway free, it is not the customs what actualy do it it is the post office you have to pay the duties to the post office before release.

Ok so quick calculation = probably £25-35 if it gets charged. It would definatlly still be worth it.

No there is not only vat, there is a rate also for import duty, you still have to pay the duty on all of the money and same for the vat, they do not let you off for the first £35, this is the british goverment you are talking about.take a risk, and order they are over worked they cannot even see a full size person coming in.

This is no guarantee but I have never yet had to pay any input duties on stuff from the Gate as the sender has always been very adept in sending single items as "samples" @ a bargain price. Samples do not normally qualify for import duty or VAT BUT as already stated this is NOT guaranteed to work everytime.

There are calulators on the web one can use to estimate import duty & VAT in case it happens but I seem to remember it adds up to about 15 - 20% on top +/- 2%.

Still pretty neat but obviously the more you buy the cheaper the per unit cost. You can always flog the surplus off to mates, Amaz*n or on that infamous auction site.

Yes those were the rates that I found, so it's not such a big deal. Must admit the temptation is getting stronger.
