7 messages more and you may try server 4 cline. Maybe your troubles over with this.
In my case 4th server cleans some packages 3rd doesn't.

        Re: Line stability?

Speaking of stability. What I find strange is that I've put the same Nline from a free server, into 2 different receivers. A Spider Box and a Protek. I wonder why I have less freezes with the Protek, than by the Spider
Sadly the Protek has no cccam, otherwise I could test the satlover lines also in it.

I thought the protek did not need lines. it has connection to a permanent server that does not run out and updates automaticly.

You are correct, but thanks to an upgrade a while ago, we can also enter nlines for opening more packages How more channels how better Therefor I was curieus to see if it works and indeed it does.
To my surprise I saw that I had less freezes with it also.

It seems to me, that a Spiderb is a little more sensitive to freezes,
than the Protek, but I can be wrong ???

I do also have noticed that some recivers is less freeze then others with the same server. I have tested with starcom x1005 and istar korea x2000 and when it come to frezzing the starcom x1005 was better then the istar x2000. This test was done with g-share servers and satlover clines.

What ecm time would be considered to be "good" and low enough for most packages to be stable?

It depends on the encryption system using by channel. For some 1-2 sec are enough but for some ( like ND* ) you need ecm lower than 0.3 - 0.4 sec.

When I've buyed my Protek in the shop, the gift was already activated at that time.
I can't remember that I had to pay an extra £40 or so for the gift.
Maybe it was already calculated in the price of the box ? I don't know.
Anyway I'm very happy with it because the support is even better !

This info is very useful. Toby has better experience and is confirming it.

As I see it: he has payed £40 gift + £269 box = £309 total
(He told us that we need to buy the box also, like he did)

I had even payed more in the past: 450€ = £375
But that will be the shipping costs, taxes + service of the shop I guess.
Be aware that I have my box now around 1,5 - 2 years
I was one of the first who has buyed it, in my country.
The price ofcourse should be lower today.
