Discovery MAX, the new channel from Discovery Networks, Spanish editorial group El Mundo and Veo TV's Unidad Editorial, has launched on free-to-air DTT in Spain. It is the only channel devoted entirely to DTT non-fiction entertainment, with the majority of its content never before seen on Spanish TV.
The channel will broadcast a variety of programming genres, including extreme survival, motoring, entertainment, cooking, and docu-reality. Shows will include The Last Survivor with Bear Grylls, American Chopper, The King of Cakes, LA Ink, Radical Fishing and nature shows featuring sharks and other feared beasts.
As for the Spanish production, the channel will broadcast A Look at The World, in which journalists from the newspaper El Mundo comment on the day's news.
