Re: ques for tecs
No, 10 metres is not really a significant distance to deteriorate line quality and speeds so there is no point. I know this from experience because I have seen 30m+ cable and it has no affect whatsoever so don't worry about it. Any glitching and freezing is from the server only. -

Hi Toby I think the only thing you would gain will be neatness i.e. less cables lying around. I use plugins no problems to save a 30 metre run. Cheers...Comment

Re: ques for tecs
But however running a router off an extension lead is not really a good idea! What I did was to use external BT telephone cable from the master socket in my front porchway and routed it on the outside wall to the upstairs office, via an extra socket for the living room.
Each phone of course has a filter.
Before carring out this rewire I used to run my router from an extension lead which proved to be unreliable. Like I said network plugs are fine and much neater to use too.Comment

Re: ques for tecs
think i gonna leave as it is as its bin like it for over 6 months now with no hint of a problem, there is also on the market 200 mbps homeplugs which are suppose to be better, the router only supplys the sat box, an lap top wifi, so not very complicated an messy.Do not send me iptv/cline requests,
