Any one tried the skybox S12?

Any one tried the skybox S12? I got the ad from China, Great View Electronics Ltd, and said that it is a mini HD box update from Openbox S10, but with power adapter.
If any guy tries, please let me know. Thank you!

i was browsing ebay last nite for openboxs10 and saw s11 then skybox 12. the price difference isn't much so now i'm considering the s12 also. specifications arent much different from opnbox s11 but upgraded version. i noticed also that from openbox, the name is now skybox.

have you considered getting a dreambox at all, seems to be the best on the market and what i have noticed they hold there price, might seem better than keep buying low budget boxes, but that ok if you just want lines, these dreamboxes are more like computers now? the new dream version=dm7020 is £549 at my local shop, but you could get cheaper direct order.

thanks toby but that is way above my budget. i can only afford 1/5 of that amount. i've already got several computers so i'm ok at the moment. cheap ones to try first.

i thought about that before and posted a question about cards but don't remember whether it was answered or not. 2 of my pcs are running on ubuntu. if i whack that card in there, it might not cope with the load. so i think another box ( cheapest hd) would be better.

dont know how much the sky star card hd would cost, but hey lets get real, things can really mount up an can agree with noypi end up a few months later with numerious amounts of kit out dated. perhaps?

skystar would be roughly £60. almost same price as openbox and not much messing about with your pc. besides, when u want to watch something, the pc needs to be on as well (pc uses more electricity) than the box.

PS where it says no over heating i would not take that to be 100% has it is the chip decoding the signals that get hot seperate power supply does not mean that it will run cooler just easier to change dodgy power supplies
