Ethernet on or off?

Hi spiderox 9000hd owner,going to attempt to load cline later today.
Do i have to have ehernet on or of?and anything else to switch off before loading cline? Thankyou for any help will be much appreciated....

You need just enter your line you can switch ethernet off so if it is not taking over and you can check if the line works.normaly you can run with it on

ive never switched it off, if server providing same chns might be bit of glitching for a bit till best server kicks in.

Thanks for reply,just checked and ethernet is down on spiders at moment so one less thing to go wrong.

I've read elsewhere that when connected to a server it is advised, on Spiderboxes, to turn UCAS off in case of conflict. Don't know whether there is any truth in this or not.

i never bother, when you go on a chn which ucas opens there is no conflicks with lines i have found.

I had problems before I turned ethernet off I think that this is reccomended, but with Ucas I find that cline overides Ucas with no problem.

yes that right on a premium server or pay server, but not for free lines. as you pay for good service, i thought you were on about 3lines.

that's how i understand it too. are premium members even bothered with ucas on or off?
i left it off as i don't need ucas anymore.

Not a lot of channels for ucas if you if you check the softcam up dates it will give you a list of sats and providers that can be viewed.if you think you are not going to watch them switch it off and see how you go.

I have an old white card in my box, mainly for channel 5 HD. I wonder whether there is any conflict there? I wouldn't have thought so but I'll take it out anyway. I have UCAS turned off.

If you are not using the gift or it has expired simply turn it off, I've tried it on and off and have noticed no difference. My gift has expired by the way.

I have found no problems with Ethernet ON but Ucas causes problems with free clines.

you might find that the other way round, i have had free lines sometime now an when on ucas chn, free lines do not bother it

I have found that leaving ucas OFF makes the free lines connect faster.Some of them will not connect at all until ucas is turned off.
