Has anyone got a 2d-3d converter? I've seen these advertised for about £50and was wondering if they are any good.

Last month there are pretty good programs - movies documentary, sports events. As I understand every day it's going to be better. For now it meet the needs.

Does a 2d-3d require a 3d tv or does it do the conversion for it. If you have a standard full HD tv but not 3D, will this converter allow you to watch passive 3D? And if so, how much is it?

Where did you find this information? I thought that it is not possible to transmit TV images at a resolution greater than 1920 x 1080 pix.

With This converter you can see an 2D tv, program wich is in 3D (side by side) and can make conversion from 2D to 3D and of course you need an non expensive 3D sun glases,(1 piece is on the box and you have 2 HDMI in and 1 HDMI out and one infrared remote control you canchange inpout source and type of conversion from 3D to 2D or from 2D to 3D.)

This will never happen, The side by side is OK but no match for true blu ray 3D pictur quality is outstanding on my Samsung 64" 3D Plasma, sat around 8' away. LOL
Ive watch a fair bit of 3D from the sat mainly s*y and it's fairly good! Not as good as Blue Ray for sure, but interesting especially when the footy's on.

                          Re: 3d channels

I would just like to inform you all that any of these cheap 2D to 3D convertors that are around $50 are utter garbage, None of then can render Stereoscopic 3D like a proper 3D tv from Samsung,Sony,Panasonic,LG that all use the polarised glasses.

These cheap converters all use the old type red/cyan or magenta/cyan that has been going round for years and it really does give you a headache.

The cheapest true Stereoscopic 3D polarised converter that i have seen retails at around $450 dollars which if you come to think about it for around $600 you can get a 3D TV now anyway.

I know here in the UK one of the big retail supermarkets is doing a Re-Badged LG 42" Passive 3D tv for £450 so at these prices why buy a converter when you can buy the real deal.

another reason people perhaps thinking to convert ,like many others an myself, we have only had our hd tv just over a year now, as to super market 3d tv, good thing for price compertition, do makers expect users as tec moves very fast to purchase over priced latest product just to be elite. my missus in retail.

My Sony 3D Tv has a simulated 3D effect feature for 2D channels, not a bad attempt if you don't mind having the glasses on!

Not really worth it, for me anyway..
