Re: What is the Best LNB?

Two months ago I replaced my TM 0.1db Gold LNB with a Inverto Black Ultra Single LNB and although it is 0.2db it preforms better.

        Hello,

I was wondering if this lnb h**p://www.satshop.tv/Megasat-Multifeed-Twin-LNB-01-dB-
is any better than "normal" ones. It say you can have a 2° misalignement. Is this true and does it work properly?

I'm asking this because I try to catch 4 satellite with one dish

Black Ultra Inverto are supposed to be pretty good. High gain (60dB), low noise (0.2dB)

I know satellite installers who highly rate them and for the money they are cheap at around £15

A cheap £5 icecrypt will do for most sat use, the figures for these are as nearly good as the most expensive, the only time you will not pull in the signals with this is if the dish is to small for the footprint of the sat you are trying to recieve.
Dont look at the adertised hype, look at the tech spec for the product.

Re: What is the Best LNB?

Surely the critical issues are the setting up of the dish - size, direction, neighbouring trees and buidings which might interupt the beam etc rather than marginal differences in the performance of LNBs. The quality of the receiver is also important. I have never seen any real difference between the various LNBs that I have on my multi-LNB setup.

On 26E my quality reading went up from 48 to 60 after fitting Irverto.

I can say that LNB from Black Ultra series of Inverto is a good choice.

Personally I have not seen a big differences between LNB's which i have been used.
Now I'm using Inverto ultra black. It looks a little bit better when it's raining and in some TP's where signal quality is critical ( between recieve and not recieve ). So if you have a good signal it doesn't matter which LNB you are using.

Re: What is the Best LNB?

the good point about the inverto ultra is it can pull in weaker transponders on some sats that other lnb's fail on, This is correct that if you have a good signal it will not matter what type of lnb you have but for poor and marginal signals the better the LNB the more chance you have of receiving that signal.

In all my installations the Inverto Black Ultra came out top of the tree for poor to marginal signal levels, Simply put it beats the rest hands down

Tested this converter: EDISION SL-1 0.1dB can say that he behaves quite well. Between him and Inverto Black Ultra 0.2dB could not find a significant difference.
