    In your test executed with the traceroute command, which is the "longer time" to which you refer to?

      Re: Whats your ping?

      Hi gpaolobvt,
      with longer time i will say, the ping needs 10ms to get a answer but this is not the real time cause you first have to find the route to the server. Is the connection done so the next pings will get 10ms.

        You mean..
        With a ping the time is almost 10ms, because goes directly to IP.
        With the traceroute it's necessary more time to look for the way to the IP.

        Is this right?

          Re: Whats your ping?

          Hi gpaolobvt,
          no tis is wrong. The ping time depends on the line from your box to your router to the internet to satlovers router to satlovers server. 10ms is only for my box, your time you see on your ping.
          If you use the ip and not the host name you can save a little time couse there is no nameresolution needed but the first connect time is the same.

            My ping is:

            Minimum = 46ms
            Maximum = 47ms
            Average = 46ms

            It works fine!

                Re: Whats your ping?

                PING tests the connection between two network nodes by sending packets to a host and then reporting the time it takes to get a response. The nodes can be in a Local Area Network, Wide Area Network or anywhere on the internet.

                you either get a good ping or not, nothing you can do about it, even usain bolt wont make a difference (vi***n) faster broadband speed, so reliable sources say?

                    Pinging satlover.com [46.251.239.140] with 32 bytes of data:

                    but it's pretty enough for sharing
