Re: wheres my signal?????
Now its not so easy to go back to your previous settings especially if the Dish moved quite a bit. What satellite were you on ? -
Re: wheres my signal?????
Would not be better to ask someone with a measuring device and ask him to adjust the antenna, than buy a satellite finder? It certainly comes out cheaper. Is my post useful for you? Please press sigpicComment

another option is to use the satfinder feature of your satellite box and use walkie talkies.DM800HD Clone Satellite

Re: wheres my signal?????
It all depends where your dish is if its on the ground make a small patch lead take a portable tv and your box to the dish then its easy, if its on the roof its cheaper to buy a signal meter than call the rip off merchants out, also you have if it happens again.Comment

Re: wheres my signal?????
the only bit of kit i used for lining up dishes was a very expensive piece of kit, a compass, but you need plenty time and patience, my dish i mounted on ground level.Do not send me iptv/cline requests,
technical or iptv/cline server questions in PM!
I will not answer!Comment

Re: wheres my signal?????
Sam, which part of your installation has moved? Has the dish moved vertically or horizontally?
First thing to do is set your dish to move to 0 or X or reference (It's all the same thing).
Then check that your dish elevation settings are correct.
Then find true south using a compass or you can download free compasses that work on your smartphone.
Once you have put all these things back into place you should go to find your first reference satellite which is normally Thor at 0.8 degrees west - Easy because you know it is just a small movement to the right from reference.
Once you find one. the rest should just tumble into place using USALS!
Let me know if this helps at all - Where in the UK are you?

Re: wheres my signal?????
You might not need to buy a satellite finder if you can route a small tv and yoru box outside next to your dish and move it manually. If you are in the UK you will need to start on thor which is 1w that is if your dish is motorised. If not then you have to calculate exactly what settings you need to align the dish on the bracket/pole, however if you are sure that the wind didnt move that, and its just left or right on the pole then judge by eye and you will find it eventually.Comment
