French operator Orange will add a bouquet of six channels from the TF1 Group, as of 2 January 2012.
Orange's offering will be enriched with general and sports channels Ushuaïa TV, Histoire, TV Breizh, LCI, Eurosport and Eurosport 2. These channels will be accessible to Orange’s customers who suscribe to TV offers via ADSL, fibre and satellite (except AB3).
The exclusive distribution contract TF1 has signed with Canalsat for these channels will be lifted at the end of this year, and consequently all the six channels will be further available on other platforms.
This partnership with the TF1 group confirms Orange's content and service strategy, while further strengthening its content aggregator strategy, the operator says.
