ok. But my reciver do support oscam. But i really dont know how to use it. Is oscam only for making a cardsharing server or can i use oscam to connect to cccam server?.

there is a combination oscam/cccam to, guess you'll find it in your download tool of your receiver. It uses the cccam.cfg to put your clines in the same way.
Normally it's possible to connect to cccam server with oscam alone.
You should find how in the oscam subforum on the website.

just a suggestion duhoki, you could do what i did a year ago is, sell your box an throw in a dish to a friend lets say an set it up for him an if he gets quite a few good chns which he was not getting before im sure he will be happy plus also you are starting a newbie into a exciting hobby, plus helping you with a bit of cash to move to a better box, ie both partys happy, i sold my older box to a bruv for peanuts, it would have only gone in the bin in the end, just a thought.

ps technology moves on so quick now peeps buying new stuff every few years.

Oscam can be used as a server and as a client as well. I've got it like that.
You can use it, after that you can change max. hops in readers section.
And you can edit in web interface.

Thank for all the sugestions. I now have oscam up but it is very unstable and no support from those who make the reciver on how to update the oscam for this reciver. The build is Mipsel-nxp-linux but I can't find out which file wil be the correct one to update the oscam. I think I will go for dreambox

Istar Korea x2000 is the reciver. I add the server with the remote controller in the menu

My advise is to use only one of the servers as they open the same packages.

Hardware:
Satellite Receiver (Linux Base)
Personal Computers,
Server
Router
NAS .

Operating System:
Embedded Linux ( Enigma )
Linux ,

my advice would be if it aint broke dont try to fix it.

Yes true. Oscam on my reciver do not work becouse it is an old version ("OSCAM 1.00-unstable_svn build #0"
) so therfor iam trying to find out how i can update the reciver that have this build " Mipsel-nxp-linux". Cant find any info at all.

Istar X20000 now support oscam good on the new patch version

I have tested oscam function and it is now working very good on the config i have.

I will come with an update on a working oscam config for this reciver when i have learned more on optimizing oscam

Duhoki, I am using yumatu alihd 36.10 (mersat) receiver. Before finding this forum I tried to install programs from usb drive and totally messed up everything. took me a while to be able to find a new software where i can at least write the servers manually. so if you are not sure what you are doing and you are more or less content with satlover channels my advice would be just to be happy with what you have.

I appreciate your advice, but as you might see on my last post i am now a oscam user and have full control of this reciever. It is a new model from 2011 with midell support on new software, but with oscam support it is a good reciever, but still i am going for an dreambox (soon get me one maybe)...

i missed that sorry, just curious is it really worth to spend all that money on dreambox, last time i checked some versions were really expensive. I mean during busy hours and weekends when the server is really busy you will still have problems.

I know my yumatu is old and even with hd channels that are free I have some freezing but I am not sure if it is really worth spending all this money on dreambox. maybe i am wrong though.

I have the same thought like you, and you will probably not get any better server because yo get an dreambox. Iam satisfied with the reciver i have now istar 2000 HD, but it is the open source software(linux) on dreambox which do provide many function you can do on the home network, and also better support for oscam and so on. Expensive? oh yeaaaa, Good to have? oh yeaaaa

hmm dreambox is on linux so you can play with it more look did not know that and good to know. just when i saw the price of dreambox i thought about getting one of those internet tvs and watching channels online
