yes i think i can agree with you there with experence with normal tv splitter, weakens signals to each receiver, looks like quad lnb will have to be the way, one for neighbour, one for myself, two for rent, buy a few beers each week. i presume that is some kind of network euro.

yes that one way of looking at it, but most over there just glad to get latest news chs or local news chn, an corrie an all that rubbish, but lot of expats unclear what you can receive via satellite at that position, right on top of nilesat, badr, an most europeon beams, the hardest one to get is 2d beam,28east, bbc chns?

          Hi Toby,

One word of caution. I believe there can be earthing issues running two cables to seperate properties from one LNB.

I will do a bit more research and get back to you.

            cheers mate, howya doing,
did you have to do something like that when setting up multiple lnbs on one dish, i remember with the older type lnbs were metal when i started and was always getting small shocks now an then, sometimes it would render the lnb useless, no doubt shorting it.

              Hi Toby,

Not been on here much recently what with Christmas, etc.

From what I've read if the installation isn't properly earth bonded there is a possibility of electric shocks.

There is a long discussion on it here:

              _http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1301361

But there is some conflicting info so might be worth reading everything through very carefully before proceeding.

amalgamating tape! expensive, what a rip off, in the past when i had multiple lnbs i used ptfe==polytetrafluorothylene tape, never had a problem, also this product used by plumbers for water joints.
most new lnbs now have waterproof cover.

On a proper install you should use Snap & Seal Waterproof to 2bar f connectors thats what i use on all my motorised jobs no need for any type of amalgi tape

Polish the dish and lnb cap with car polish the rain just rolls off.
                    Works a treat.
