    a well known electronic store m***ins are selling a gadget for £13.99.
    they state 20db line amplifier to improve satellite signal reception, or is
    this a load of crap. has anyone bit the bullit an wasted there dosh, or any
    improvement

    Went down this route a couple of years back and TBH it not only did nothing for me but made matters even worse. I still have it lying around somewhere and you are welcome to it if you live nearby.

      An amplifier will give you increased signal strength and increased noise but will not increase the quality of the signal - and that is what you really want! Save your money and have a bigger dish, ensure that it's perfectly lined up and then you will see improvements.

        If your needing an inline amp then there is only 2 reasons for using one. 1, you have a clone dreambox with crap tuner or 2, your whole setup needs adjusting.

        As the guys have already posted not worth the hassle.
