    About IP Server

After updating our linux based receivers , we will be able to use Ip server. As far as I learnt, with an Ip Server we may watch all the platforms including HDchannels via internet depending on speed. So another section called ''iplover''will be necessary.
While using ipserver we won't use satellite but webconnection only.I think that will be good.Anyone has information about this subject should write here.

If watching tv through your ip server you will start to use massive amounts of mega bites.
you will have to make sure you do not pass your max quota and have to buy extra gigs.

      Re: About IP Server

I think IPTV is definately going to be a more popular way to watch TV in the future. But as in the previous replies it is dependent on your internet connection.

I believe that Virgin Media in the UK provides a seperate broadband connection for it's Tivo service to cope with the on-demand requirements.

Whether or not it will be commercially viable for companies to roll out the required high speed broadband in all areas remains to be seen. In the short term it will probably only be urban areas that will be able to fully utilize IPTV.
