    Missing channels with channelscan

I hope I'm posting this in the right section and otherwise I would really appreciate if it is moved.
I own a Technisat Skystar USB HD especially for watching UK channels on Astra 28.2E, but when I bought my dish a few years ago, I also installed 2 LNBs for either Astra 19.2E and Hotbird with a Disecq 1.0 switch.
A couple of weeks when I bought the tv-card I realigned my dish and everything was working perfectly. Unfortunately a few days ago I rescanned for channels, because some channels didn't work anymore. Hotbird still works fine and channelscans give me about 1000-1100 TV channels. Astra 19.2E and Astra 28.2E though are having troubles. A channelscan on Astra 19.2E gives me about 650 TV channels with about 95% signalquality, the rest of the channels are missing and when added manually they don't work either. With Astra 28.2E I only find about 60-70 TV channels with perfect signalquality, but when I add missing channels manually the do work perfectly with great signalquality.
I'm experiencing this on two diffrent PCs with either DVBViewer Pro, Techinsat Edition and ProgDVB. Does anyone have any clue where the answer to this problem is to be found?

I've tried with new transponder settings, since I guess that's what you mean with satellites.xml? I used the settings from fastsatfinder.com.
I'm now trying Linux for the last time, since it's quite a challenge to get everything working. Windows wasn't doing it for me either though, since I started to experience BDA driver related BSODs.
I'm past the point of scanning channels and I'm actually finding all of them, but I still need to see if they also provide a usable image using either VDR or MythTV.
I'll certainly post an update anytime soon!

You could use the online satellites.xml generator. They keep their database upto date.
        well worth a bookmark

It's also possible that the frequency hasn't changed, but that the Symbol Rate and/or the FEC has. Know this was recently so (think with sly it and some french channels). Best is to delete the TP, then re-enter it and than rescan.

It's been quite a while since my last post and I've managed to fix the problem. My LNBs were unfortunately damaged by water so I had to replace them. Since I have and have reajusted them my signal levels are great again.
I have also given up on the whole VDR project, because I just haven't been able to get it to do what I wanted and have bought a Golden Media Spark Reloaded a few weeks ago, which I'm very pleased with.

I have a suggestion as the DiSEqC works from west to east. Try to put Hotbord on Port 1, Astra 19 on Port 2 and Sky 28.2 on Port 3. Rescan and it might get all the channels back. Some DiSEqC ports are numbered as 0, 1, 2, 3. Put the lower degree satellite on the lower port.
Sorry if someone has answered the same before. Let me know if it works

AFAIK DiSEqC has nothing to do with a certain west to east order. It works fine as long as you can remember yourself which LNB/Satellite is connected to which port of the switch.
                  I'm currently having:
                  Code:
                  1: Astra 19.2E
                  2: Astra 28.2E
                  3: Hotbird 13.E
And it really works just fine. I had everything working already with VDR, so it really just were my LNB's, but it just couldn't work with it, which is why I decided to buy just buy a dedicated sat receiver.

As far as I'm concerned this problem has been completely solved!
