ZDF to screen first 3D production

German public broadcaster ZDF will show its first three-dimensional original production on 3 October 2011: The documentary "Die Huberbuam"
(___http://www.huberbuam.zdf.de) follows the free-climbers Thomas and Alexander Huber - known in the mountain climber scene as "Huberbuam" ("Huber boys") - at their passage through the Karma route in the Berchtesgadener Alps in southern Germany.
The recordings were made with eight 3D systems including a new miniature camera (SinaCam).
ZDF will show a 15-minute short version of the film on 3 October at 17.15 CET on its main channel in conventional 2D format with the full-length 2D 45-minute films to be screened by digital channels ZDFinfo on 4 October at 19.30 CET and ZDFneo on 30 October at 17.05 CET.
The 3D version of the 45-minute film will be available at ZDF's catch-up portal ZDFmediathek on the internet from 3 October.
