Hard drive PVR sharing over network.

Have a spiderbox 9000 and was looking to try to share all the recorded info from pvr hard drive has anyone out their tried it.

I have apple tv kiss1600 wireless divx players and philips wireless can any of these devices see the hard drive info.

I think it would need a wireless hard drive network connected and then a usb connection to the spiderbox.

So before I try it wanted to ask if anyone has already done it..

thats a good idea, never thought of that. i only have 'G' wifi on my dm800 and I dont think thats fast enough for HD recordings.

I have mines already setup on my dm800, it only freezes when you play High Definition Recording, via 54Mbps wifi.

I don't know anything about the spiderbox. But if it is Linux based, you will need a Samba plugin to actually share the files.

Is the spiderbox linux based?
