    combine my satellites???

    hello!
    there is my problem

    I have a dreambox 500s.

There are my apartment centrically 2 satellite system (42e, 13e)
(with a single cable coming from the).

I have a satellite in the my balkony

I would like to combine my satellite to this with the central system.

but , I don't combine this two cable.

1- I tried combine using by the Option switch (EMP 162-D).

But, one of the satellites(13e) did not show.

2- I tried combine using by the 1/4 DiseqC Switch

But, one of the satellites(13e) did not show.

what can I do about it? please help me!!

    Re: combine my satellites???

    seems impossible for me.

You have to connect the 3 satellites with a diseqc switch.
    Please push thanks.

      Re: combine my satellites???

As pat3 has explained you need a 3/1 diseqc switch which will allow all 3 sats to be connected via 1 cable, You will of course have to set up your DM500 for diseqc mode in the menu as well.

u have to manually set it up in your dreambox
remember which port on the diseqc 4/1 u use
        something like A,B,C,D
but on your pic are only 1 cable with the 2 satellites
so u have to configure in advanced mode in your dreambox
and i think that if u use both diseqc u shall
        use lnb 1 and 2
then jump down to lnb 5 configuration
        like this

what is weird is that it seems to be always Hotbird that doesn't appear...
just to be sure : on your drawing, it seams sat1 & sat2 are connected together. when you connect sat1 & 2 to the disecq, the LNB are directly connected to the switch (nothing is connected between the LNB's and the switch?)

do sat1 & 2 work under the standard dbox disecq configuration?

                on the custom configuration
what happens if you cross the cables on the switch (and in the conf...)? doest Turksat disappear and Hotbird appear?

                  Re: combine my satellites???

This problem is the same as that discussed on a number of other forums - to combine a monoblock LNB with another single LNB. Although some people report success using a combiner which has DC pass-through most people including me have had no success. The only way of doing this electronically would be by using an "uncommitted" disecq switch. These are not easy to find and are expensive. A cheaper but not quite as satisfactory way is to use an A-B manual switch. You can locate this near to your receiver but it does mean getting up out of your chair to change satellites. Hope this helps.

                    he didn't mention any monobloc?
                    I think there are 3 LNB's, and 3 dishes, aren't it?

right but we don't know what kind of dieseq he use now
he does mention EMP 162-D an a 4/1
as far i have read about EMP 162-D
                      its just a ordinary diseq
but metehan47 if u can then only use the diseq 4/1

                        Re: combine my satellites???

The key point is that conventional disecq switches cannot operate in cascade. I understood the diagram in the first post to show that there was already a disecq switch installed which could not be accessed or changed by metehand47. If he could then replacing it with a conventional 4 input diseqc switch would solve the problem.

                            Re: combine my satellites???

By "conventional" I mean a committed switch which most satellite stores sell for around £10. They come with either 2 or 4 inputs. They require you to use diseqc 1.0 which almost all receivers will have. In fact you must already be using diseqc 1.0 with the existing setup. If you were to use a 4-input switch you would somehow have to remove the existing switch which combines the inputs from the two satellites you already have, replace it with a committed diseqc switch, connect the two existing cables and also connect in your new cable from the LNB on your new dish. However I read your original request to mean that you did not have access to the switch which combines the two existing satellite inputs. Hence my suggestion of a manual mechanical A-B switch, also available from satellite accessory suppliers at modest cost.

he probably refer to your pic in that there are 2 diseqs
and that also why i am asking about u only can use the 4/1 diseqs
                              drop the other 1
