TV5 Philippines launches international channels on OSN

TV5 Philippines has launched two international channels – Kapatid TV5 and Aksyon TV International. The channels, aimed at Filipinos living abroad, will be carried by Middle East pay TV operator orbit Showtime Network, making them available across the Middle East and North Africa as well as in Europe.
Kapatid TV5 will air TV5’s flagship programmes including Face to Face, Wil Time Bigtime and Babaeng Hampaslupa, while Aksyon TV International is a news, sports and factual channel.
The two channels will be run by British Virgin Islands-based Pilipinas Global Network, 60%-owned by Philippines telco PLDT and 40% by TV5’s owner ABD Development Corporation.
