There are always differences : component quality or reference, tuner, plastic quality.
If you are lucky you will have a perfect copy (without technical problem), but you can also have (like me) a clone with some problems : noisy fan, tuner that seems to unplug it alone ;-)

But for the price I think it's honest...

Nothing to think or say , for me the best HD receiver is HD 8000 DB ,But for the price I think it's the best .

Like most people have said - depends on your budget, do you have a motorised system. Do you have HD tv and want HD channels. etc.

Some of the DM clones are very good for the money.

Yes but it's like 800HD, you have to be carefull when you upgrade your firmware. There is also patched firmware...

Bought the openbox s9 to start with and am well impressed at the ease of setup and help[ had a dream 500 a few years ago and was always having to fiddle about with it. Openbox ideal starter box and doesn't cost a fortune
