insatlling dish and dreambox help please

can any boddy please help my son want to put a fixed dish up at his house to get freesat uk 28 degreess but he wants to use a dreambox 800hd clone as his box as later we might c/s the question is this when all the stuff on the dreambox and image and everything else do i have to put the lat and longitude into the dreambox as i had to on mine but mine is on motorised system do i not need to put in lat or long as it is fixed dish

I don't think you need to put manually, You have to choose single lnb in setup choose than in list of satellite choose correct satellite i.e Astra 2A, 2B, 2D and Eurobird (28.2*E). Hope it can be helpful.

no would be my answer, most images you would just press blue button, scroll down to satellites and transponders, select then select satellite configuration, then select one single satellite, job done

Lat and long are only required for USALS motorised installations. They are not required for a fixed dish :-)

thanks for been very helpfull that will save me a lot of time and messing about as i wasnt to sure as it has been such a long time since i set up dreambox i couldnt rember

i dont know how many images u have tried
but its have always being
menu button then setup then channel search then tuner setup
in there u setup how many dishes or motor
this are on both on my dm7000 and dm800hd

Menu > Setup > Service Searching > Tuner > Configuration > Tuner A > Configuration Mode >

Simple.

Mode > Single

Satellite > Astra 28 E
