I am currently using a DM500s but I would like to upgrade to hd but with all the different boxes im not sure which one is most reliable, can somebody plz advise

If you are not after advanced linux manipulation, the I definitely recommend the TM5402HD. It has 1080p output, CCCAM, very fast menus, USALS, even ******* now! It is a complete package, the only downside is that it is non linux hence limiting you to editing etc

Yes it is .... all the DM 800 models are HD box

Look if you are after the Dreamboxes then you have a choice of either the DB 8000 HD which incorporates two Tuners but an expensive box, or the DB 800 HD, DB 500HD, the DB 800se (se stands for second edition) i.e. the latest, These machines are all HighDefenition boxes and you need an LCD TV, HD ready or full HD to appreciate their value. Then there are the VU Duo boxes which are also very good, I would say as good as the Dreamboxes, but less expensive, and also Clarke Tech HD Boxes, plus other makes, These that I mentioned are the best in my humble opionen.

I have got Strong SRT-4930 HD and it seems to work good for me...has cccam and newcamd capabilities...

DB 8000 HD ( facility inside Boxe itself) but the others DB800 HD, DB 800se, can have the same capability when you insert a usb Wireless adapter in outside usb slot.

The DM800 is good but it's not the simplest one to control. Depends on your budget also the OpenBox is the cheapest as far as I know.
