Barcelona had no chance of scoring tonight until the red card opened up the game a little bit. Mourinho set up to defend to deny them space because he knew that if he tried to attack, madrid would concede because his back 4 is not good enough. If they had a decent back 4, they could attack without fear of conceding. I remember when he used to have john terry, carvalho, gallas and del horno, who were amazing in defence and with a powerhouse midfield to break down attack, and lampard robben drogba crespo to score. Such a physical team...this madrid team defensively is nowhere near that level, which is why mourinho has no choice but to go ultra defensive against barcelona. He will need to attack at the nou camp and unless something special happens, I can see barcelona scoring on the counter attack.
Man utd played to a very high level yesterday and will be more than a match for barcelona if they were to progress.Comment

The cheating antics of barcelona are way beyond man utd's so called fergie time...They dive, cheat and whinge, pedro,busquets and dani alves are the biggest culprits. Lionel messi is special, he is untouchable, in terms of ability and fair play, there is no dispute to that. But man utd do not go to the extent that barcelona do to simulate, not even nani.Comment

ManU has Rooney who will dive, Dany Alves yesterday is get yelow card because Di Maria dive, Pedro dive and Arbeloa get yelow card.
It is stupid to say that Barcelona simulate and other team dont have that kind of players.
Rooney still dive, like he always did.
Pedro and Busquets also still simulate.
Dany Alves doesnt dive any more, when he come from sevilla he dive alot, but in last 1-1,5 years I dont remember he dive.
Di Maria is simulate at least 3 times in every game...Comment

I think about the match of yesterday that was between barcelona and real madrid that the players of real madrid are great actors and butchers like pepe who only tries to break the foot of messi and marcelo who puts his foot on the foot of pedro even though the balloon was far from him and every moment diving and diving,the Defense plan won't work anymore with barca cause he needs goals and now it's nearly 70% for barca to go to wembley especially the absence of the 2 butchers pepe and ramos they better for them to play ruigby not football the problem of mourinho he focuses on winning not the way of playing that gives an advantage to barcelonaComment

You make some good points, but the bottom line is the 3 barcelona players i mentioned dive about 4 times per match whereas rooney and nani dive so infrequently you can barely remember.
Anyway, man utd 2-1 to win in the final my prediction.Comment

LOOL, you are right. I meant the goals. With regards to man utd, they are so consistently successful, that people like to find faults with them just to make them feel better. The amount of times I see opportunites for rooney to go down and win a penalty but stays on his feet is unbelievable, but he does one dive in 10 months and everyone jumps on him. Nani fine, hes a bit worse, but barcelona's 3 divers should win gold consistently in any game that they find challenging.
Messi is god, in my opinion I believe he is the greatest footballer ever to play the game. Maradona was special, but messi performs nearly every game. Ok, international level he hasnt hit the heights but half of the problem is that his team never have the ball becuase argentina are not the force they once was.
The goal yesterday was special, pace, poise, balance, finesse and class all rolled into one, the man is on a different planet, forget c ronaldo and his power shooting, messi is all about perfection.Comment
