And don't use a WiFi Connection.
That *WILL* make the Ping Higher.

Where possible use a LAN Cable, if you already are there probably isn't much you can do about it. Could try another ISP, and see if they will reduce your latency, some ISP's offer gaming packages, which will reduce your ping times down.

Your optimum ping is determined by your ISP and there is absolutely nothing you can do to change it, but maybe it is enough, do a test and find out. Do not use up bandwidth elsewhere will help, very small details such as loading ****** will freeze certain packages....
