Hi, I've got a clone dm500 with gemini 4.6 non bomb image. it was quite easy to set up, I've got a fixed dish at the moment just plugged it in and done an auto transponder scan. the box was second hand tho and had image on it. I want to try a new image to see if it fixes the problem before I look at getting a new box.

What do you mean by freezes anyway, it may be other problem then "cold connection" that i've suggested earlier.

It freezes at what temperature, and stops freezing when : after 1-2 minutes, 1-2 hours ?

when I turn it on at the plug in the morning the box will boot up and show picture and sound. after about 10 seconds the box will crash, pic freezes no sound remote does nothing. I switch off at mains and start again, this time it will stay on for about 1 min then may be 5 mins then half an hour then ok for couple of hours. no cccam running just common interface on fta channels. box does not get hot when left on for days but does crash garunteed at some point. Any ideas?

Yes first, like you wanted try a new image if that won't work then it is an electronic problem and you could start with what i've suggested earlier (the hot air blower)

Am i right in thinking that i can heat up the board until the solder melts and this will repair any bad joints. Can i use a paint stripper heat gun?

They use a special one, never tested but it should work

This tool is for testing whether your dreambox DM500 has a current active firmware with the famous bomb timer that resets the bootloader on DM500 clones..

Have you tested on Win Xp is just freezing, and then stops responding !!!

Convert NewCamd to CCcam ( its work fine )

That program seems to open a TCP connection. The well known method to steal C lines !!

If it freeze sometime dont panic all clones are same u need to wait 1 min or to retart
