    Re: sky de

some channels have low signal, on the limits of watchable. if the weather is fine you can watch the channels without problem, if it's cloudy, rain, snow and some channel are unwatchable. I read that channels from that package are optimized for receiving and viewing in Germany, so you can have problems receiving them form other location.

      Re: sky de

Hi! Where I live, some of the SKY DE channels and other channels on Astra 19,2 are viewable only in the evening for about two hours, therefore when I perform a channel search between let's say 8-10 GMT I find by far more channels than during the day. It's because we're at the outer part of the satellite beam.

        first
you check coverage of signal where you are for example flysat
if you try to adjust in night, its better

            Re: sky de

Myself I have very good reception off all bouquets on 19.2E included sky germany.
The position and size of your dish can have influcence to, For example trees or not, many buildings in the area of your dish,....
From my expierence I know a 90cm dish is already enough to get very good signal on astra 19.2E if it's positioned well.
            good luck

In London where I am there is full signal on these channels, I just checked most transponders and it seems perfect.

maybe thats because they show some sports events and only start the channels while they show the events?!

No. That's because the reception is better in the evening. I can't tell you exactly why. But this is a fact. Not only for Astra 19,2; for all satellites of which I'm on the margin of their beam.

And for other satellites, like Nilesat (7W) the reception is better around noon.

                          Re: sky de

better LNB or bigger dish might help. also make sure you are using good coaxial cables from the antenna to the receiver.
