If Ghana is able to play the Quarter-finals means this World Championship is open to everybody...

According to the statistic, USA is (was) better than Ghana... but the final score it the final judge, no way.

                Ghana 2-1 USA

Revenge will be on the menu for the United States. Four years ago, Ghana claimed second place behind eventual champions Italy from Group E after beating the Americans 2-1.
The victors will fancy their chances in a quarter-final against the winners of the last 16 tie between Uruguay and South Korea.
USA have no new injury concerns but Robbie Findley is available again after suspension and is expected to return to attack.
Ghana will again be without the injured Isaac Vorsah.

Bob Bradley v Milovan Rajevac: Bradley comes from a family of athletes; his brother Scott played baseball for the Seattle Mariners in the 1980s and is the current coach at Princeton University. And his son, Michael, now with Herenveen, has been key to their success.
With Claude Le Roy's departure after a relatively disappointing third-place finish at the 2008 Cup of Nations on home soil, Milovan Rajevac took over leadership of the Black Stars and the belief is that an African country can prosper on home soil.

                Talking tactics
The return to attack of Robbie Findley could prove crucial.
Maurice Edu is likely to retain a starting berth after coming in for Jose Francisco Torres.
Ghana could be without centre-back Isaac Vorsah as the defender struggles to win his fitness battle.
Vorsah missed the draw against Australia through injury and was hoping to be in contention for the loss to Germany, however Rajevac was forced to start him on the bench.
                Key clash
Landon Donovan v John Mensah: Donovan is enjoying a terrific spell but will find Mensah as the man detailed to halt his progress and the USA’s passage to the last eight.
Sunderland are still considering whether to sign Mensah permanently; this game could give Steve Bruce some food for thought.
Last season Donovan scored for Everton against Sunderland – and Mensah.
                What they say
Bob Bradley: “"I think there are six (players) on both sides from the match in 2006 so there is some element of that, but now, four years later, things have changed. And, speaking for ourselves, we are looking ahead to 90 minutes or more, and to doing it -- and moving along. We want to go far in this tournament and that is what our focus is on.”
Milovan Rajevac: "We have created wonderful opportunities to score but we have had a bit of bad luck. Perhaps we were missing a bit of concentration. We can't finish it off so hopefully going forward we will score proper, real goals and I'd be very happy to see this in the last 16."

There could still be time for Africa yet, even if the USA could not beat the clock for a second successive match. The Americans must have thought they had this game in the bag when it entered extra time; they had weathered Ghana's early storm and were looking the side most likely to score.

Yet Ghana hit them with a devastating early burst just as they had done at the start of normal time, and the USA could not come back again once Asamoah Gyan's powerful strike beat Tim Howard for a second time. The host continent's last remaining representatives now go on to face Uruguay in the quarter-finals, and on this showing they may even have a chance, as long as they can tidy up their finishing and learn to score ordinary goals as well as spectacular ones.

Ghana did not manage a goal from open play in their group games – their four points came courtesy of two penalties – yet they lost no time in opening their account in the knockout stage. With just five minutes gone, Kevin-Prince Boateng dispossessed Ricardo Clark in the centre circle and set off on an impressive run. By the time Jay DeMerit and Carlos Bocanegra woke up to the danger, Boateng was striding into their penalty area, and though he struck the ball early, he did so with a conviction and an accuracy that surprised Howard.

If the Americans had been studying Ghana's fairly languid performances against Algeria and Australia, they would have been surprised at the snap and polish the Africans brought to this game. They were up for it, and their plan seemed to be to knock their opponents off the ball at every opportunity. Steve Cherundolo was caught out by André Ayew midway through the first half, fouling his man and picking up a caution to trigger a suspension.

Michael Bradley managed to bring a save from Richard Kingson, but found himself heading a clearance over his own bar shortly afterwards. The United States were on the attack when Jonathan Bornstein, enabling Ghana to purr swiftly but calmly into the gap for Samuel Inkoom to send over a dangerous cross from close to the right corner flag.

Bob Bradley sent on Maurice Edu after half an hour in an attempt to cut down the space available to the marauding Boateng. The Americans produced their most convincing attack of the first half moments after the substitution, Bradley and Clint Dempsey helping release Robbie Findley, who brought a good save from Kingson. The goalkeeper, who blundered against Australia, looked much more confident here, not only stopping shots but safely claiming crosses, though it was Howard who was dealing with the heavier fire. Ghana launched their next attack direct from a Kingson goal-kick, route one stuff that nearly worked. Kwadwo Asamoah latched on to the first knock-down and brought another sharp save from the Everton goalkeeper.

As half-time approached, Ghana could be well satisfied with their endeavours, even if they still need to tighten up their act in front of goal. Boateng threatened again just before the interval, yet though his backheel to Asamoah was clever, all it produced was a sky-high shot and another decent position wasted.

The USA almost scored at the start of the second half, only to be foiled by Kingson's best save yet. A Donovan cross from the right had John Mensah in trouble, and though Jozy Altidore could not shoot himself he moved the ball on to Benny Feilhaber, only for the goalkeeper to leave his line quickly and decisively to smother the shot.

Boateng turned Donovan after a good Ghanaian move and put his shot over the bar, before the oddly quiet Asamoah Gyan sent a long shot wide, and the Africans had cause to regret their inability to put the game to bed when the USA equalised just past the hour. They could also regret some sloppy defending too. Dempsey appeared to be blocked by John Mensah but he cheekily nutmegged the centre-back and made his way into the penalty area, obliging Jonathan Mensah to come across with a poorly timed cover tackle. Donovan stroked the penalty in off a post, Jonathan Mensah collected a booking that will put him out of the quarter-final.

By the final quarter the Americans seemed to have Ghana's measure. For most of the second half, the USA employed the patient, probing style that served them so well in their last game. They were enjoying the best chances as normal time began to run out and looked the side most likely to see out extra time without mishap, yet in almost a repeat of the opening strike, they were hit early by a Ghana goal of surprising force. If Bocanegra thought he could muscle Gyan out of the way when a high ball came down, he was mistaken. Gyan stayed on his feet and accelerated away, giving Howard a feeling of deja vu as he beat him in a manner similar to Boateng's earlier strike

African teams in general are very strong physically, athletically but do not have the mentality of the tactics
