      Just kidding....

      Spain had a easy tournament till now, look the statistics:
      Code:
      Team MP	W	D	L	GF	GA	Pts
      Spain        	3	2	0	1	4	2	6
      Chile 	        3	2	0	1	3	2	6
      Switzerland	3	1	1	1	1	1	4
      Honduras	        3	0	1	2	0	3	1
      MP= Match played
      W= Won
      D = Draw
      L = Lost
      GF = Goal For
      GA = Goal Against
      Pts = Points

      Switzerland was just a small spot in the darkness of this World Championship, Honduras no discussion...
      Spain and Chile are at the same level...

      I'm not expecting any surprise from Spain will be out soon.
      we can't judge right now that's spain will be out soon but
      the only risk is the next match with portugal that's making a sensitivity

          Re: FIFA World Cup 2010 -Who Wins? Vote.

          Switzerland came in needing a big win and a big Spanish win or a draw and a Spanish loss to make it out of the Group; they got neither, drawing 0-0 with Honduras and looking for all the world like they would never, ever in a million years score. Honduras, for their part, attacked and played a lively match and in the 71st minute, they had a sure winner saved brilliantly by Swiss keeper Diego Benaglio. It kept the Swiss in the match, and they kept pressing for a goal and hoping Spain could score again, but with Spain and Chile seeming to simultaneously let their result stand with about eight minutes to play and Switzerland unable to grab the goals needed, the resilient Swiss, who conquered Spain 1-0 all those days ago, found themselves heading home. It was a tough way to go out and a startling reversal of fortunes; Spain finished top of Group H, Chile a close second, with Switzerland and Honduras knocked out of The World Cup.

          Honduras - Switzerland 0-0

          If Group G was a bust, the final games in Group H turned into a must-see event; with defending European champions Spain on the ropes after a first game loss to Switzerland, Chile with two 1-0 wins under its belt and carrying 6 points and Switzerland on 3 points and playing Group minnows Honduras, it was a race to 6 points and the best goal differential for the three contenders. Even more fascinating was the way it finished, with scoreboard watching, a great save to keep hopes alive, and a final eight minutes without a single tackle or challenge. It was Spain vs Chile that entertained; David Villa’s 40-yard goal in the 24th minute, scored with his left foot, was one of the great goals you’ll ever see; with Fernando Torres bearing down on the penalty box, Chilean keeper Claudio Bravo came screaming 20 yards off his line to sweep the ball away, but instead of putting the ball into touch, it went straight to Villa, who one timed it with his left foot, a 40-yard curler that bounced into the corner of an empty net.

          Spain 2-1 Chile

          There are some Groups in The World Cup that stay tight until the end, the third and final match filled with do or die possibilities for all four teams, and then there are others that are over after the second match; unfortunately, Group G proved to be the latter. Entering today’s matches, Brazil had already qualified with 6 points and Portugal was sitting on a +9 goal differential advantage against Ivory Coast in the battle for second place; THE GROUP OF DEATH!! proved to deadly alright, but for the frontrunners, it was smooth sailing. Was it any wonder, then, that Portugal walked into their highly anticipated clash with Brazil in full-on damage limitation mode, throwing an organized, battling midfield toe-to-toe with Brazil who, missing the creativity of Kaka due to a red card suspension, were stuck in neutral for most of the match. This was a case of an immovable object meeting another immovable object, and the two sides played a physical, chippy game full of professional fouls, tough tackles and a sense that every ball would be contested for the full 90 minutes; Brazil had the better of the chances, with Nilmar breaking loose on the left of goal, only to see his tightly-angled shot tipped onto the crossbar by Portuguese goalkeeper Eduardo. Luis Fabiano saw his momentum carry a header wide of the left post a few minutes later; it was an open chance and with Portugal locking down their backline, a better finish was needed. The Portuguese were happy to soak it all up and keep pushing Brazil back through a counterattacking Cristiano Ronaldo, and despite a few flashes of brilliance, Ronaldo never really threatened. Instead, it was left to Raul Meireles to slide in and push a low, driven ball just wide of the post; it was Portugal’s best chance of the match and it, like so much of this match, came and went without incident. If you were unhappy with this match, disappointed to see two heavyweights cross cancel one another with their conservative tactics, well, I would get used to it; the knockout rounds are unforgiving and a single mistake can cost your team a shot at glory. I would expect to see more of the top teams grinding it out against each other from here on in.

          Brazil-Portugal 0-0

          Ivory Coast 3-0 North Korea

          In Nelspruit, there was a whole other agenda; trailing by 9 goals in the wake of Portugal seven-goal destruction of North Korea, Ivory Coast had to hope for a Brazilian victory while running up the score against the North Koreans. They started off brightly, with Yaya Touré placing the ball into the corner of the net from 18 yards out and putting Ivory Coast up 1-0. From there, as predicted, it was target practice for the Ivorians; Koffi Romaric N’Dri scored on a header after Didier Drogba’s shot hit the crossbar and fell to N’Dri for a contested header that he pushed in. In the 82nd minute, Salomon Kalou ran onto a dangerous cross and beat the keeper to the ball, tapping in for 3-0. It could have been five or six but for a foul here or a tight offside call there, but in the end, it didn’t matter; with Brazil and Portugal tying, the Ivory Coast were eliminated, leaving Ghana as the only African team to qualify for the knockout stages. In the end, Portugal’s two-draw strategy paid off; they have yet to give up a goal in the tournament and, after only giving up a few during qualifying, the look to be a very, very tough nut for anyone to crack. Which made me wonder heading into the Group H matches; knowing that Switzerland and Spain had to win (and Chile had to draw) in order to guarantee their place in the knockout round, which team they’d rather face in the knockout stages; Brazil or Portugal? Talk about picking your poison…

              Today match

              Uruguay Vs South Korea, I think that this will go to the penalties, Uruguay had more tehniq and Korea is faster, so most likely is to be draw.

              USA Vs Ghana, now in this game I think that USA will win, they didnt have luck against Slovenia and they was better then England, but Ghana had much luck against all oppnents so I think they must bean out of luck sometime.

                  Uruguay - S.Korea is a very interesting match, I won't express any prediction, both teams are good candidates.

                  USA - Ghana: Ghana don't have a real first line, honestly don't have any first line, USA till now played a good game with a in-sync team, I see USA favorite of course...

                    I think that referee was good, Chile was play roughly and they a lucky that he is sent off only one player.

                      England v Germany: match preview

                      Read a full match preview of the World Cup 2010 second-round game between England and Germany at the Free State Stadium, Bloemfontein on Sunday June 27 2010

                      It was, perhaps, inevitable England would meet Germany in South Africa, but few expected it so early on. Germany have impressed more than England at the World Cup so far, particularly against Australia. Yet they have lost, against Serbia, while England remain unbeaten.
                      The last time these teams met in the finals was back in 1990, when England suffered the cruelty of a penalty heartache. But on the previous occasion they met in the qualifiers England record their best ever win over their rivals, a remarkable 5-1 victory in Munich.
                      Bastian Schweinsteiger, Jerome Boateng and Mesut
                      Bastian Schweinsteiger, Jerome Boateng and Mesut Ozil all picked up knocks against Ghana but Germany anticipate the trio to be fit. The Germans will also have Miroslav Klose available after suspension.
                      England, meanwhile, are expected to keep faith with Matthew Upson alongside John Terry even though Jamie Carragher is available after suspension. There is, though, a slight double over Wayne Rooney and his ankle problem.
                      Key Clash
                      John Terry v Miroslav Klose: Terry was immense against Slovenia, having received a verbal lashing from Capello.
                      Now he faces one of the most successful strikers in world football and has to produce another superlative performance, aided by Matthew Upson.
                      Klose is one short of 50 international goals and his return, from suspension, against England will be his 99th appearance for Germany.
                      Touchline duel
                      Fabio Capello v Joachim Low: Two cool customers will stand side by side in Bloemfontein and both have points to prove.
                      Low has been criticised for fielding such a young side but the fact Germany have qualified again suggests the future is bright.
                      Capello’s hold over discipline showed cracks but now he has the support of his players again and confidence has returned.
                      Talking tactics
                      Capello has resisted calls to play Wayne Rooney as a lone striker with Steven Gerrard playing just off him. Gerrard started on the left against Slovenia, though he did drift inside.
                      James Milner impressed on the right in that game and will continue, while Matthew Upson will be expected to deliver another good display alongside John Terry.
                      Germany have used a 4-2-3-1 formation for all three games, with Cacau replacing Klose against Ghana.
                      Fabio Capello: “The players needed the victory against Slovenia and I needed it. They can play against all the teams and I am sure the performance will always be at this level with this spirit.”
                      Hansi Flick (assistant manager): “We have a very young team and England are certainly the favourites. But beating Ghana made us mentally stronger.”
                      Teams
                      Germany (3-2-3-1): Neuer; Lahm, Friedrich, Mertesacker, Boateng; Khedira, Schweinsteiger; Muller, Podolski, Ozil; Klose.
                      England (4-4-2): James; Johnson, Upson, Terry, A Cole; Milner, Lampard, Barry, Gerrard; Rooney, Defoe.
                      Referee: Jorge Larrionda (Uruguay)
                      Previous meetings
                      Played: 27 Germany 10, Draws 5, England 12
                      1930: (Berlin, Friendly): Germany 3 England 3

                      1982: (London, Friendly): England 1 West Germany 2
                      1985: (Mexico City, Friendly): England 3 West Germany 0
                      1987: (Düsseldorf, Friendly): West Germany 3 England 1
                      1990: (Turin, WC): W Germany 1 England 1 (West Germany 4-3 pens)
                      1991: (London, Friendly): England 0 Germany 1
                      1993: (Detroit, Friendly): Germany 2 England 1
                      1996: (London, EC): England 1 Germany 1 (Germany 5-6 pens)
                      2000: (Charleroi, EC): England 1 Germany 0
                      2000: (London, WCQ): England 0 Germany 1
                      2001: (Munich, WCQ): Germany 1 England 5
                      2007: (London, Friendly): England 1 Germany 2
                      2008: (Berlin, Friendly): Germany 1 England 2
                      Fact: Miroslav Klose has scored 11 goals in World Cup finals, just four behind all-time record scorer Ronaldo, who has 15.
                      He is only three behind Germany’s most prolific World Cup scorer, Gerd Müller. England’s highest scorer is Gary Lineker (10) while, in the present squad it is Steven Gerrard, with three.
                      Meanwhile, Germany have drawn only one of their last 15 games, keeping nine clean sheets in that spell.
                      All four previous knockout matches between England and Germany in major tournaments have gone to extra time.
                      Prediction: The time has come for England to beat Germany, and do it in regular time without penalties. England will win

                              Ajax's asking price for Luis Suarez may just have doubled. With two different but equally exquisite finishes, Suarez not only clinched Uruguay’s place in the quarter-finals of a World Cup for the first time since 1970 but has also moved level with David Villa and Luis Fabiano in the race for the Golden Boot.
                              Tottenham currently head the queue of English clubs who want to bring Suarez to the Premier League but, having been the top scorer last season in any European league with 35 goals for Ajax, the 23 year-old is now proving that he can thrive on the biggest stage of all. On this evidence, the initial valuation on Suarez of around £20 million would be outstanding value for money
                              His goals today also underlined a remarkable tournament for the South American teams, with Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Paraguay also still left in the tournament.
                              Yet if Fabio Capello bothered to watch this first match of the knockout phase, the feeling of nervous anticipation ahead of today’s Germany showdown would surely have been mixed with intense frustration.
                              This, after all, was a glimpse of the limited opponents that could have stood between England and a World Cup semi-final had they got their act together earlier in the tournament and scored just one more goal during qualification.
                              The sight of more empty seats made another depressing backdrop to a game involving two of the less fashionable teams, with Port Elizabeth once again struggling to sell its 42,486 capacity.

                              URUGUAY-SOUTH KOREA 2-1

                              There were 11,000 empty seats for the South Korea-Greece game at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium; 5,000 empty seats for England-Slovenia; and 4,000 empty for Germany-Serbia. Fifa admitted that some 5,000 were still unsold on the morning of this match, with the pricing policy regrettably still excluding so many football enthusiasts within the surrounding Port Elizabeth townships.
                              Those with tickets in Port Elizabeth were entertained by an expansive start from both teams.
                              With Uruguay fielding their now usual 4-3-3 formation, Huh Jung Moo had made the first concession in his South Korea team selection by sacrificing a striker so that Lee Young Pyo could be added to what became a five-man midfield.
                              Even so, South Korea immediately put Uruguay onto their back-foot and quickly forced a free kick on the edge of the penalty area.
                              The controversial Jabulani ball clearly appears to be hindering the best free kick takers at this World Cup, but Monaco striker Park Chu-Young underlined his dead-ball by curling his shot over the Uruguayan wall and onto the outside of Fernando Muslera's right-hand post.
                              South Korea’s near miss seemed to awaken Uruguay and they took an eighth-minute lead following a combination of some slick passing and dreadful goalkeeping from Jung Sung-Ryong.
                              Edinson Cavani released Diego Forlan down the left with an exquisite pass from the outside of his foot but the danger should still have been contained. However, Jung came inexplicably wandering off his line and missed Forlan’s cross to present Suarez with an empty goal. The angle was acute, but Suarez had completed evaded the attention of left-back Lee Young-Pyo and remained admirably calm to punish Jung's mistake.
                              With Uruguay so defensively solid throughout this tournament, the task facing South Korea was suddenly huge.
                              They did then enjoy the majority of possession, with Park Chu-Young and Park Ji-Sung always the most dangerous and inventive of the South Korea players although they were largely restricted to shots from outside the area.
                              The South Korean players gathered in a team huddle before the start of the second-half as they faced up to the reality of having only 45 minutes to save their World Cup.
                              With the rain lashing down, the pitch became heavy and quickly began to disintegrate. Even more empty seats also became apparent in the stadium.
                              South Korea dealt much better with the rapidly changing conditions and, with Park Chu-Young and Park Ji-Sung still particularly influential, they began to exert considerable pressure.
                              Their reward came in the 68th minute and was a result of another piece of bad goalkeeping. Maurico Victorino had failed to clear a free kick, prompting Muslera to come rushing off his line in a failed attempt to challenge Bolton's Lee Chung-Yong.
                              However, Muslera had completely misjudged his ability to smother the danger and simply left an empty goal into which Chung-Yong gratefully guided the ball.
                              Having sat back and invited so much pressure, Uruguay were suddenly energised by the goal. Forlan had several half-chances, but it was to be Suarez’s day, with the Ajax forward brilliantly cutting inside Cho Yong Hyung before curling his winner outside Jung Sung-Ryong’s outstretched hand and inside the post.
