CME has announced that it will have HD channels available in all its markets from January next year.
This will follow the switch of the leading Bulgarian station bTV, which CME acquired only last April, to the format.
CME has broadcast interests in six Central and East European countries and the most recent of its channels to switch to HD was Romania’s Acasa TV in September.
CME also says its future plans include the expansion of its paid and FTA channels portfolio.
Furthermore, it is “closely monitoring 3D development”, with the possibility of offering programming in the format in the future.
